It is so cold and windy here. Branches are littered over the road and I wouldn't be surprised if large limbs or whole trees join them. BRRRRR

Four train lines have been affected by fallen trees, including the Belgave and Lilydale lines, Nics.

Take care everyone. Stay as warm and dry as possible. And beware, there are trees and branches that are weakening and may fall in a couple of days time. Great photographic report there, Purplehaize.

What a day here in Melbourne. Hope that is the last of it. Tree limbs and real estate signs were all over the place.
I usually don't mind Winter but it seems to be getting worse every year.
So glad to be home now.

Sorry to hear out VIC friends are having such bad weather!
In Sydney we've had cold temperatures around 17 and wild winds the news says the SES has had 500 emergency calls.
Our supplier in VIC rang up today he says temps down there 7 deg made me feel bad but glad.
Snow in the Blue Mountains and the best snowfall recorded at Perisher in a decade.
Heaters are on full bore here and hot water bottles are in service!

i'm glad i live at the top of the hill and top of the driveway - places a few doors down now have ponds in their front yards, a couple of garages have been flooded too, poor buggers .

All that wild wind has certainly cleared the cobwebs out. This morning started out cold at 12 deg but what a beautiful day it turned out to be, blue sky, wispy white clouds, warmed right up to about 19 deg, slight cool breeze.
I'm just sorry for all the folks that had damage over the last cpl days.
