The question is
Will Julia Gillard Lead the Labor Party to the Election
If she leads it will be a total wipe out, if she is replaced at least they may save a few seats but they (the labor party) are headed for political oblivion and a wipe out no matter what they do.

hm... I don't think she will but if they remove her it will be flagged as the NSW Labor Disease... if she stays they will say she can't lead why not get rid of her..
I say she will probably stay as no one will want to lead that party into such a defeat...

She'll have to be dynamited out but I hope she stays, all the more "How sweet it is" "This is the Sweetest victory of all" to quote Paul Keating. All these sayings are coming back to haunt Labor & the "Bring it on" From miss Gillard was an empty goad as she was not game to "bring it on" until the death of her govt.
Not many luvvies here today is there? I suppose we'll get the told the old chestnut "they're both as bad as each other" after staunchly defending Gillard since she knifed Rudd.
She will resign after the next election just like Anna Bligh did, leaving the mess in their wake, for the Libs to clean up after them.
Betting on the Gillard Rudd scenario is they can't write a ticket for GIllard at the moment. All one way traffic towards Rudd (heaven forbid) if that psycho ever gets to lead again.
46% in this little poll says they can't wait to boot her out. Where are all these people, they are not popping their heads over the ramparts on here.

the 'sweetest victory of all' was nothing like a one-sided media assasination. there was some journalism still surviving in the daily broadsheets then.. unlike the sheep we have now. now they either work for the likes of murdoch or aspire to (better pay and job security).
there's no common ground for comparison.

There is no choice but to keep her firmly planted where she is.
Who would be stupid enough to take over now?
The party is done for, what ever they do. Better to leave her wher she is, that way there is someone to blame.
ROLL ON !!!! September

I think she has to do so. If they replace her now, no matter who they replace her with, it will just be seen as yet another sign of instability, weakness and lack of supporting their own decisions and there is not enough time for someone else to turn the tide.
Personally, I trust Penny Wong more than most, but what do I know, don't vote Labor.

Julia Gillard has regained her lead over Tony Abbott as preferred prime minister in the latest Newspoll.
The poll, published in The Australian newspaper, suggests the Prime Minister gained six points in the preferred PM stakes and now leads Mr Abbott 42 per cent to 38.

JULIA Gillard will have a bounce in her step today with a three-point rise in support for the Government that will dampen talk of a push this week against her leadership.
Today's Newspoll, published in The Australian, puts Labor within striking distance of winning an election and has Ms Gillard back in front of Tony Abbott as preferred Prime Minister.
Ms Gillard's controversial crackdown on 457 visas for skilled foreign workers and her week-long visit to Labor's problem area of western Sydney appear to have driven the boost.
Newspoll shows support for Labor rose three points to 34 per cent while the Coalition fell three points to 44 per cent. The Greens were steady on 11 per cent.

I"m happy she got a bounce in news poll (no other poll though). I want her in position as PM in the Sept election because I'm looking forward to her concession speech :^O:-p

It's like the scales have fallen of the eyes of the media, a breath of fresh air blew in yesterday & they openly discussed the replacement of Gillard, the political cliff they are heading for.
Monotone Wong even had the decency to utter that Gillard & Labor dragged down the WA vote.
4 Corners shone a light on the rotten corrupt core of Labor last night. Carr trying to cover himself in absolution.
