Will Labor be banished throughout the land?... YES but they and their small band of supporters will still not get the message
Only once before has the ALP been exiled from office nationwide. This time the dry spell could be a lot more testing.
With the exception of a small oasis in the Australian Capital Territory, as of this weekend it looks highly probable that the ALP will be consigned to opposition throughout the land. T
he likely defeat of Jay Weatherill's government in South Australia and Lara Giddings' government in Tasmania will leave Labor languishing out of office federally and in all of the states.

I feel that labor has seriously underestimated the antipathy they are held in and the refusal to move on from the failed policies that saw them routed federally.
Its like deja vu, they are totally out of touch, they are condemned to keep making the same mistakes, its like watching a slow moving disaster, they can't be taken seriously

Wall to wall Labor was a total catastrophe so anything would be an improvement.
SA, Tas, basket cases under labor rule. The biggest mining boom in history, rivers of gold and look at what they left. debt and chaos, choking regulation and union stranglehold, union corruption that beggars belief.
So whatever conservative govts do it could never reach the depths of failure labor sunk to.

What more needs to be said is that everyone has their own ideas, come to their own conclusions, most don't read forums, or read stuff posted on blogs. They base thier decisions on how they vote and who they believe on their own life experiences. And attempting to brow-beat them into submission just makes them question the loudest voice more. And then vote the other way.

You left out a good portion of the rest of the forum. I don't necessarily agree with the OP, BUT, they're not the only one's playing that game,

I admire nero for sticking it out on here and at least having the courage of his/her convictions.
I don’t admire the concerted snipes and derision aimed at him /her.
what I really do not get is if you are offended or angered by what he /she posts why come in and pour scorn or gang up.
l see plenty of political threads that I do not enter simply because they are shallow pollie bashing name calling threads that don’t interest me or someone pushing an agenda that has been done many times over.
These political threads could be more educational rather than adversarial. Just a thought.

Victoria will be lost to the libs this year. the libs here poll in negative territory with monotonous regularity.. Qld is just as dire, with premier newman in danger of losing in his own seat. state by state it will all come back again as will the federal party. then it starts all over again. the dreams of a whitewash are understandable from over there, but the hope of extinction a fantasy .. nobody wins indefinitely or permanently apart from putin.

I can look at the bright side for the myopics, if all the States develop a blue rinse there will be nowhere to go but up, the red choir will perfect Kumbaya, and Annie LL will have lots of practice.
Ducking off to bed now.
