Just while we're waiting on the waussies to do their last minute voting I'd like to share my plans for Ericas theme choice. I will be away over the xmas period and won't have internet access all of the time. I'm thinking other people will be busy too so I would like to run two challenges concurrently for two weeks instead of one. The two challenges would start on the 23rd Dec and finish on the 6th of January. Erica will choose the theme for one and the winner of week ending 23rd will choose the other. The overall winner of the two threads will start of the 2014 year of challenges. Whaddya's reckon, sound like a plan?

Next thing. I didn't do the tally for the Love challenge. My computer wouldn't start and I had to frantically text a friend and ask her to do it.

If I had done it She Ele's 23 vote pic would not have been included in the final tally. Earlier on in the challenges I excluded a high scoring pic for the same reasons. No-one commented on its absence from the winner thread.

For me the challenge is about two things. Trying to improve my photographics skills, through experimenting and looking at others work, and secondly, taking a new look at what is around us everyday. Some posters have accepted this challenge.

For other posters it's more about sharing and reminiscing. This is also great. It's a public forum, a public thread and the more the merrier.

If you have a pic that suits the theme and you want to share it, do so. Just make sure you have ownership rights to that pic (in other words don't grab random pics of the internet just because they suit) and put in a disclaimer if it's not your own work. We still love looking at them.

Please respect other peoples pictures, especially if they have personal things in them, such as family members or personal effects. Please do not use the thread for personal vendettas.
