Well, at least they're not saying "There will be NO workchoices legislation under a Government I lead" as a finite statement.

Just sayin is all.

Still sitting on the fence as to who gets my last and second last preference vote.

DY,  things are getting desperate when you attempt to "interpret" answers from a new  candidate (not a former MP) at a press conference to indicate  a possible variation in the  publically expressed,  by Abbott often,  Libs IR policy. However it is in line with  your past dredging attempts apropos the same topic:

"Abbott’s IR policy brings back WorkChoices laws to make it harder for unions to protect workers’ rights in their workplace."
"Many ways, if they had their way they would bring back Workchoices"
"Workchoices is ringing in my ears."

LL got it correct: "......its a no brainer to conclude that the same approach renamed is undoubtedly part of a coalition package......." The no brain part!

Whilst FN has the correct view: "If by some chance the Abbott doesn't win"


Actually the "chance" part has been assessed by the bookmakers, hence the current odds.

So DY,  whilst  Workchoices is ringing in your ears,  let me assure you, that is a bell,  and it tolls for thee.

Why would anyone want a third party to put their case to an employer?

 

I have never been a member of any union and have always been able to come to a mutually beneficial arrangement with my employer.

Why would anyone want someone else telling then that they will look after their interests if they give them money and pledge to obey their rules.

 

I have also been an employer and in  that role I welcomed anyone coming to me and putting their case as to their worth or their conditions. 

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

your interpretation is flawed, no brainer means 'no brain is required to know its going to happen' or 'it is written' (albeit in a locked drawer in menzies house)

Its an unfortunate fact of life that greedy employers will take advantage of poorly educated or vulnerable workers at every turn and hate it when they get support from unions to protect there conditions and wages.
