Height plays a large part, my 11 year old will be taller than me by years end.

Well the MBT's will add about a half an inch to your height if you want an unfair advantage. 😉

Well, it might surprise you all to know that in the 17th Century high heels were worn by MEN.. They were used as a form of riding footwear in Persia. When a wave of all things Persian swept through Western Europe, heeled shoes were adopted by Aristocrats.
They were used as a way to convey status, and nothing converys status better than impracticality.
King Louis of France was known as the Imelda Marcos of his day

Some of those shoes in the OP's post looked wonderful but I bet they're hell to walk in.

And a bit of extra height doesn't hurt either.

Well being that King Louis was quite short, I imagine the extra height would be an advantage. It's not like he actually had to do anything

Masai Barefoot Technology. You can google for info and find them on ebay. They have a sort of rocking sole and lots of cushioning. Bit hard to balance on them at first but worth persisting.
I got freebie shoes like that from catch of the day at Christmas. Not genuine, no doubt but yes, super comfy.

Exactly, and those shoes in the OP are not for doing anything in either, except for maybe being seen in. Hobble from the chaufer driven car to your table at the restaurant or club but strictly no ballroom dancing.
