I like warm and dry. I don't mind if it's sunny or overcast. I don't mind about humidity.
I do NOT like rain, snow, sleet, frost, fog, black ice, and all those horrible things.

Oh, Brisbane has wonderful food ... the Queen Street Mall ... odd little shops ... pretty train stations ... interesting suburbs like Fortitude Valley ... the wonderful New Farm with its real butcher and the greengrocer ... QPAC ... markets ... City Cats and Ferries ... places to walk ...
Places to walk is important to me. I walk to exercise and de-stress. In Sydney, it's so difficult to find walking areas ... it's all stop, wait, cross, walk, stop, wait, cross, walk.
Where are you now?

If I ever go back to Tasmania, I'll be bringing a full length coat made out of a doona, together with several pairs of wool socks, sheepskin boots and slippers, several hats, a dozen scarves, gloves, mittens, thick jumpers and fleecy trousers :^O
exactly what I need to be wearing now:_|

I hate the heat and humidity. and I live in the sub tropics and die every summer.
I plan on moving to Tassie. I love it there, and the cold weather.
Hi Duff.
We will be in Tasmania for a whille. Maybe as long as two years. All going well.

Duff, when I was young, I went to the Gold Coast ... I have an aunt who used to live in the area.
I went to Surfers and couldn't believe it ... but lately, (over the past 16 years or so), I've got to enjoy it. It's become a kid-friendly area ... and has some great food places ... There is a Korean restaurant there ... just a hole in the wall place ... but awesome food.
Then there are all those other areas/suburbs ... so different and with a character of their own.

PCT ... whereabouts in Tasmania are you going to be?
Wherever we can get some house sits. If we are in our camper, we will be in New Norfolk just outside Hobart.
