Yumi Stynes and Sami Lukis First All-Female Radio Team

Ok  everyone's talking about the heat.

Firstly:

Went for a short walk across the road at lunch to pick up a few items of shopping it was like stepping into a furnace. Once inside it's bliss.

Hey remember Yumi Stynes from The Circle that caused a furore by questioning the intelligence of SAS Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith because he was so good-looking on the Channel Ten talk show?

''He's going to dive down to the bottom of the pool to see if his brain is there''.
and her apology: ''So I made a joke, because how could anybody possibly be so perfect?'' Yumi said.

''What I didn't estimate was how much my joke was not appreciated. I sort of intimated that maybe he wasn't very smart, because how could you be that buff and spend that much time in a gym and be smart as well? And people have been a bit angry and I've been getting a lot of angry messages."

Well it turns out she's going to co-host the breakfast show on Mix106 here in Sydney with Sami Lukis. The first all-female team on radio.

I might tune in to see how it goes.

I think the point is that they are a female team. Not all male or male with a female co presenter or sidekick.

yes it'll be interesting to see how they go.

I used to cringe when Ant & Becks were doing drivetime on the same station. I always listened to Mix in the mornings and switch over to WSfm in the arvo for Jonno and Dano.

All changed now of course.

Yumi was on the radio with Chrissy Swan on mixfm a few months ago. Then she left and Jane Hall  took her place so it's not her first time.

Poor Sami having that foisted on her.

I really like Sami Lukis but I can't see  Stynes bringing anything to the format.

So what if it's 2 females? who cares? all we really want is annnouncers who don't insult a national hero, a holder of the Victoria Cross, to get a headline  & then have no grace or humility in her so called apology.
