i live in nth  tasmania we have a bushfire  about 30 minutes from my  city at epping forrest

Blooming nasty around Dunalley and Richmond... we are 39˚ down here, but thankfully the skies are clear... so far....

It bluddy frightening isn't it.  Been through a couple of bushfires, never again... I will leave the moment I see them coming.... can't fight them now - too old, and with no electricity because they shut it down there is no way of using water unless you have an electric pump and then you have to convince it to go by pulling that bloomin' sting... f o r g e t   i t 😞

purple is okay, I asked her on Facebook. Her reply: "Got to 40 here. Strong hot gusting winds. There are fires around and some people have evacuated. We are okay here. can see."

One person's thermometer hit 55 on their verandah at their home in Tassie.
