charming xmas spirit

A person,I will not say lady has had her image put all over the net in Victoria due to her charming xmas spirit. She was filmed on security camera comming over to a decorated yard with a big plastic bag ,in the middle of the day and pinching all the kids xmas decorations. She bagged all the lights, stars, trees and figures  on the lawn as well as a group of "santa stop here" signs .

I wonder if she has pinched them for her own kids or something .. what a creep ,I cannot believe her nerve

some people are just amazing Smiley Surprised

Many years ago my 2 daughters gave me a live Christmas tree.....small enough to be used as the table centrepiece.

Over the years it graduated for table decoration to tree in the corner, being put outside again once Christmas was over.

Finally one year we all realised that it was impractical to bring it inside without giving everyone a hernia so the girls decided to decorate it in it's usual position on the front porch.   It was beautiful...they did a great job.

A few days before Christmas we had been out for the day and arrived home after dark to find the tree gone, decorations and all....just a big empty pot.   It really put a dampener on our Christmas as the tree had been so much a part of our family celebrations.

It was horrible to think that in a few days it would probably be discarded on the footpath along with all the other rubbish.

Apparently a couple of days earlier this woman had also stolen a hose from a front yard.  Surely someone must recognise her,  she's quite clear on the footage.

Springy how many plums were taken?

Because it's the main ingredient for making moonshine lol.

And one of the main reasons someone pinches hoses is to make bongs, our hose once kept getting shorter and shorter lol

Smiley SurprisedGood grief, I really must be getting old. I had no idea of any of that. I just assumed if they stole plums they wanted to eat them or make jam and the hose would be to water their garden.

I'm behind the times!!

Yes, I think the creepiest part is to think people have been nosing around on your property.

We once had some teens set some of our back trees/bushes alight. We were home and my husband saw smoke and dashed out and put the fire out with a hose. (lucky that one was not stolen!).

I went out to look along the walkway and saw 3 teens in the distance, hurrying away.

I hate to think what could have happened though if we had not been around to put out the fire. We called the police, just so it could be on record in case they were ever caught doing something similar.
