dad of the year...NOT

I was stunned this afternoon, was crossing a very busy rd at Wolli Creek  to get to Woolworths .

This well dressed asian man about 30 ,wizzes past me ,while dont walk is flashing ,. He was on a hoverboard speeding along with a little boy about 18 months old  sitting on his shoulders. The kid had his arms wrapped around the guys neck while  what I guess was his dad was on a mobile.

my jaw just dropped , the kid looked fine with it Id guess its not the first time....oh and neither had a helmet or anything,.

What upsets me about people like this is not knowing whether they are bad, mad or both. It must have been upsetting for you to witness.

I did ring the police and hopefully they spoted him, they were shocked as well. Just those hoverboards are illegal as they said but if the kid fell it would be fatal im sure.

Plus he went through a don't walk sign, they could have been hit by a vehicle. So irresponsible.

It does make you wonder about some people!

Reading this reminded me of an incident years ago. I was in the city (Melbourne) with my own children, ready to cross a busy road, when the lights turned from walk to don't walk. Quite a few of what looked like regular commuters kept going & one of my kids stepped out to do the same.

I spoke quite sharply.

Get back here, it says don't walk, I said.

I obviously startled one of the men in front, he sort of jumped and back he came.Smiley Very Happy
