take a look at those grey and red bubbles next to the topics

if you click the threads with the little white stripes in the bubbles, they should take you to the last post read

threads without the white stripes in the bubbles indicates youve been there and if you click 'em, it will take to the top of the first page

fiddle with it and you should get a handle on it
