do you believe

I don't.
Do I insist that you don't. No but you insist that I do.
You knock on my door. You force your literature upon me.
You have the problem not I. You are the unreasonable one not I

The references to who Adam and Eve's chilren married are in Genesis. Most Religions would know that if they believe in the old testament.

In the days of Adam and Eve man supposedly lived for hundreds of years.  Man was, at first, only two people, Adam and Eve. The couple's first three children were Cain, Abel and Seth: "After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters." (Genesis 5:4) Having had some 33 sons and 21 daughters.

Therefore Cain married either a sister or a neice.  It wasn't untill after the flood that God commanded, "that near-relative marriages should not occur (Leviticus 18:6).

The debate over who became the wife of manโ€™s first two children has gone on for centuries. The short answer is that the brothers had to marry their sisters.

It's from a footnote in the writings of the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus (Antiquities of the Jews, Book 1, Chapter 2)

How did he know?

How did anyone who wrote any of the scriptures know any of it? I know thats answering a question with a question but I'd have to look more into Josephus to be able to give you a better answer than that sorry.

I did read that it's based on Jewish tradition.  So maybe it isn't 100% factual, but hey what of the Bible is? The Bible says that Adam lived for a very many hundred years. Thats alot of time to produce a heap of kiddies lol God commanded him to procreate the earth and have as many babies as possible basically.

If you believe in the God of the Bible (which I know alot here dont) but for arguments sake if God really did produce a perfect creation in Adam and Eve then their Offspring would have to also have been perfect in every way. The problem with not believing in God is that it's impossible to believe that all of this was his plan, if he created them, he did so know knowing full well that they would have to mate with each other to fill the earth.

Definitely take it with a grain of salt, then, as the majority of biblical scholars all agree now that most of Josephus' writings are forgeries!

So who knows what is factual, and what is pure conjecture?

Best to disregard the whole thing, until there's insurmountable proof.
