I haven' tried one of those. Have electric blankets here though, good brand, the electronic control on those only seem to lasts 2-3 years (about the same time as the guarantee).

I've got one - love it, love it, love it!!
Actually it was a mothers day prezzie to my mum from my brother and his family a few years ago, however mum doesn't feel the cold much, so I use it all the time when I'm at her place. They got it from BigW, I think it was around $80. I wouldn't be without it. I've taken it on trips with me and use it as an electric blanket, too.
Precious :-x

they are so awesome...
I don't turn my heater on at all when I use it.. I just snuggle under it... I would recommend them to anyone...
I am hoping it helps keep the electricity bill down.

The Sunbeam ones are between 70 -80 dollars, I've never had one but I reckon that would be good value though anything to keep the cost of electricity down.

I have a Sunbeam one purchased quite a while ago, I don't use it often, but am happy with it.
