I would suggest that many people have a limited range of post subjects of interest within the community forum and as such would be useful to filter out posts topics of no interest.
Would it be asking to much to create a user favourites control with user icon button on each post topic , so that post topics of interest can be designated , and therefor enable an additional "sort by" option
Sort by " favourites + new topics "
As the reading of new post topics should not be excluded as may include topics of interest , new topics would be included in the filter ie Sort by : "favourites + new post topics "
Also an option in preferences : "favourites + new post topics "
This would likely improve forum viewing efficiency
I invite thoughts on this matter

If we got to make the decisions that would be great - sadly we don't.
There is talk of eBay deleting a few of the forums/boards so will have to wait and see I guess.
I just wish they would lock all thread in AC and DB that are older than 2017, but that is ulikely also
The best we can do is Float our favourites

There may well be threads which people read but to which they won’t post.
I think it’s a stretch to consider that each poster has a limited range of interest.
Anything that diminishes access to (or likelihood of noting) the various topics posted here would in my view simply feed into creating a self-contained perspective. I’d rather see a variety of different threads, even if some are not necessarily of particular interest at this particular time and even if some have as their subject something with which I disagree.
This isn’t a monochromatic world and I would much rather not have anything enabling a monochromatic forum. There aren’t so many topics here as it is to overwhelm us, surely...?
Additionally, the community guidelines keep all of us within certain limits so as to avoid an offensive and disgusting midden pit of topics and posts. My view is that we don’t need other filters.
