If they were born in the 1930-40s they probably were, thankfully things have changed.

Na,I was told that and I was born in the 60's
Started work in 79 and was told never to discuss religion ,politics or sex .

Still don't discuss religion or politics with any tom dick or Harry !

Cs is a good example of why it's not a good thing !

I don't discuss sex with strangers or friends either. CS is a good example of many things - not discussing politics and religion aren't among them. I was also born in the 60's and we even did politics in school and religion.

I was on the debating team ,loved it ,no one debates here ..it's just mud slinging IMO !
Sex is a safer subject ,most people like it ha ha !!

just checked the egg thread, no politics or religion there. Argument on the first page. Had a look at a couple of other non-political threads, looked like a bit of bullying going on, so it seems it doesn't really matter what the topic is. Fursday and caturday are pretty safe  though, so far.
