Yes, I believe it does. If your going into the branch to withdraw the funds though, ask them about putting the limit up, so you have a buffer.

I think it depends on the bank, the type of account...  have you checked if you can increase your limit online?  i was able to do that.

i have a banking question

Joz, this is bad service. What Bank ar you banking with? (I don't expect an answer)

I never had the problem of transfering $1,000.- , I've nver had that much to spend, but when I need information I ring the branch I am banking with, not Head Office. I alwys get through to someone and most likely straight to the Manager.

Hanging on the phone for ages only to listen to recorded messages is bd enough with Gvernment Departements, but a Bank needs to respond to phone calls as soon as possible if they want to kep their customers.

I would have a thing or two to say to the Manager.

If your banks telephone service is not up to much (which they tend to be, staffed by people that don't know anything), and you are near a branch, go in there and ask about having the limit increased on that account.

Banks can send you a pin number to your mobile, when you want to transfer large amounts of money (limit would still need to be increased). That limits fraudulent activity on your account, as you have to enter the pin in netbanking to proceed with the transaction.

i had a $1000 limit as well.  When I needed to make a transfer of over $1000, it was a simple process to increase the limit.  I received an SMS with a code which I had to enter to verify my account and it was as easy as that.

If you press Savings you will have a total daily limit of $1000 but if it is a Visa Debit card just press the Credit option instead.

Providing you have the funds in your account the credit option doesnt have a limit.
