coalition's NBN plan faces an onslaught of fierce opposition, from informed folk, trained professionals, who know just how crook fraudband really is. read 'ere, turnbull's bullblog where 'e attempts to discredit yet another learned opinion
78 comments. no response from the blogowner. odd behaviour, one would say. furtive, one would say. most definately questionable.
come clean, turnbull, admit to the australian public, that your coalition's fraudband is a dud

Malcolm When people see the FTTN cabinets appearing in their streets how do you explain why others a few miles away have FTTP? You are creating a digital divide based on the luck of the draw. Can I get a refund if my house is valued lower than the new estate over the road that has FTTP? Where do I apply?

I will never see fast broadband in my premises. Can I come and use yours? I helped pay for it. FTTP to public utilities. FTTN initially to private residence and satellite or wireless to those who can't get anything else. Then everybody gets it and pays the same.

Malcolm, the truth that you cannot ignore is that your FTTN provides for a cabinet on every block of every city and town in Australia. These cabinets are not necessary with Labor's FTTP. Sooner or later these cabinets will be obsolete, so they represent a huge waste of money and resources. I challenge you to say just how long you expect your FTTN to last before it is obsolete, and has to be upgraded to FTTP. I also challenge you to include this cost in your cost/benefit analysis.

Hi Malcolm, your initial tweet on the petition came across as quite dismissive, I'm sure that was not your intention. You mention that the strategic review will be open and honest. Will you commit to making it public within 'x' time of receipt?

Mr Turnbull, Mr Ringtel did not imply without reason that you ""also appeared to dismiss democratic debate outside of elections." You twitter post to Phillip Tyson when asked by him to reject the Coalition's NBN in light of the petition: wasn't there an election recently at which nbn policy was a key issue? Implied in itself that you believed a petition was irrelevant as the people had chosen which NBN they wanted due to their voting in of an LNP government. Suggesting the NBN was a reason you won government is ridiculous- your own pamphlets never mentioned the NBN and all polls on the NBN ever taken have showed an FTTP NBN is far more popular, even with Liberal voters, than your plan. On Nick Paine- I've spoken to him as well, as all of us have in the action group we have setup for FTTP. What we want to see is you engage with the online community, the industry and experts to ensure any review you do on the NBN is fair, balanced and independent.
