He's a lovely bird. Last year I picked up an owl (think it was a barking owl) He'd been hit by a car and his 'shoulder' bone was snapped.

The local vet does a lot of wildlife work. He cleaned the wound, stuck it all back together and stuff. We are also lucky to have a wildlife park that takes in the injured wildlife for rehab. If they can't be released, they are kept on at the park.

Jenni, post these pictures over on Community Spirit.  It is much more appropriate as your little friend is not really an ebay problem.

There are a lot of animal lovers over there who would love to see those pictures.

Its amazing what vets can do, there is a small animal clinic that's attached to one of the uni's (clinic is in the middle of nowhere), they take in a lot of injured wildlife. I had the pleasure of visiting it recently and was given a tour and talk by one of the specialists - there were a few different parrots in at the time and one of them had already started speaking english (totally wild bird), specialist said it was common.  Hope the little one will be OK, they are quite tough (birds).

Aww poor little guy but lucky it was you caring person found him. Hope he's ok. ๐Ÿ™‚

I recently found a little honeyeater sitting winded on our balcony at work one morning. It kept flying into our glass windows, they're in a rough horseshoe shape around. Everywhere it tried to fly, it flew back into the window. It wouldn't go the other way to freedom, silly thing. You can see where the expression birdbrain comes from, lol.

Anyway I went and got someone to pick it up ( I can't handle touching birds, I've got some weird phobia about it), who put it out on the back grass.

It flew away.

I hope it's ok.
