Concerns over plan to switch off household solar panels when grid is unstable
what a surprise, the energy supply bods want the ability to seitch your solar system off but say 'dont worry, you can still buy our expensive coal power during "unstable" times'

Typical of this government, locked into the idea of building coal fired power station. First they told us that renewables cannot provide enough power, now that they produce too much. Between solar, wind, pumped hydro and batteries there should be enough for everything, including electric cars.
Domestic batteries are becoming smaller and more affordable. Interestingly, there was no mention of the SA batteries; obviously, they are working great, and did so through the last hot summer. If there was one little glitch it would be headlines around the nation.
