Viewmont...........Interesting shot of that '32 woody............it was built on a coupe chassis, Ford produced no 2-door woodies in 1932.

No good deed goes unpunished.

LOL, Faye, I learned that by the time I was six!

I believe you when you say you were just trying to help Lealta out. And by immediately coming forward and admitting you were the one who messaged her, you prevented any false accusations about who it might have been from being made-- so props for that too!

Thanks Artful

I was flabbergasted that the hullabaloo I was hoping to warn Lealta about (and avoid) โ€“ was actually taking place!  And I apologize to everyone for the trouble it caused.

I will say though, that I think it's unfortunate that the unspoken rule here seems to be โ€œdon't ask, don't tell โ€“ or you'll surely catch h*llโ€.

Annie โ€“ my heart and thoughts are with you and your granddaughter.

Lealta is ok with it I think.

I'm fine with it.   I understand that intent of the rule, so that people aren't pulling pictures off the internet.  I would like to make a suggestion for after this week, that the rule might be changed to read "the photograph must be taken by you or be a photo OF you".  It would be a great way of seeing the faces behind the posters here if they are willing to share.

naww, it's not meant to be like that. There used to be a whole string of rules, One of which was If you have a problem with a photo please pm me and I'll look in to it. There's quite a bit of photo checking goes on behind the scenes to keep things fair. We have tried to streamline the rules but I forget that some of you haven't been playing as long as others and may not be familiar with the protocols.

I know it's not supposed to be that way Pimpy, but it seems to me that that's the way it is.  As soon as it was brought to light that someone mentioned to Lealta that her photo violated a rule, the action was condemned as nitpicking, petty stuff, taking the fun out of the thread and here we go again.  People can and do see what happens when one speaks up (even when they try to do so privately, so as to not disrupt the challenge or embarrass a fellow poster).

Regarding contacting the host - I did find it curious that Roserobin 'suddenly remembered' to post the rules just minutes after Lealta posted her photo, but took no further action.  Am I to believe that she didn't suspect that Lealta didn't take that photo?  I think this whole incident could have been nipped in the bud, but then again, there's that unspoken rule...
