I find your comment to be totally irresponsible. I personally would be strongly opposed to your idea and I believe the RSPCA and various animal shelters would agree with me.
Each year in Australia, 250 000 cats and dogs are euthanized because there are not enough homes for them. There are currently 4.2 million dogs and 3.3 million cats in Australia. If approximately half these numbers are female and all had a litter, we would end up with approximately 16 million more dogs and 4.5 million more cats (working on an average dog litter of 8 and cat litter of 3).
It’s all well and good to say you are ‘strongly opposed to female pets fixed before they have a chance to reproduce at least once’ but have you given any thought to who might house, feed and take care of this excess number of pets.
