It depends whether we are talking emotionally or biologically.

If you're a surrogate then, it's not biological either. You're just an incubator. The next question is, does carrying a baby make you a mother???

Those as well !

Can't let us males off the hook LOL

I made a decision very early in life that I didn't want kids / was too selfish to have them. Best decision I ever made !

To each his own, I guess. '

I have 3 adult kids, and apart from a lovely wife of over 30 years, they're the best things in my life!

Pains in the a#$@ at times, but I'd NEVER be without 'em!

As Dr Evil said...'they complete me!'

Mind you, as Bob intimated, some don't deserve to be parents. My son's just gotten engaged a fantastic girl, an only child, and some of the things she's endured from her parents just blows me away!

No physical abuse mind you, but plenty of neglect and psychological torment - yet she's grown into a truly wonderful person, who already regards us as mum and dad - and I'm proud to call her daughter!

Bob intimated nothing.

Neither sperm or egg makes a parent.

I guess I can agree with that Bob, Or a good mother anyway. But, uhh, It would be soooo very nice, so wonderfull, so awesome, so life altering, no, those worde aren't strong enough, I can't find the right words so I'll make one up...

"Streiakining"

It would be so very Streiakining, for me to have the chance, the ability and oppertunity. I would not be the perfect mom, I might not be the best mom, but I would be up to the challenge.

I see alot of pregnant women smoking, I imagine some of them drink and or take drugs harmfull to the unborn baby. I see alot in the way moms or parrents raise their kids where I think, I would never do that.

I also see agencys like CPS that take the children for obsurd reasons. Having an "infowars" sticker on your mailbox, in one such case where the perents took their kids back and fled their home to leave the country. They are now touted on the news as kidnappers for taking back their own children.

So it's a iffy subject that I remain torn on.

I bought up two step children from the time they were 10 and 8, I consider them my children and they consider me their mother.

Their birth mother has contact with one child but the other refuses to have contact with her because of to much past hurt.

I wish he would sit down and talk to her to get it out of his system.

There is a child in all of us.

I had my one & only at 42 - I swore I would never forget what it was like to be a child.

I didn't forget.
