Why?

Families kissing is a natural expression of love. I can only imagine a problem with it where somebody in the family had sinister motives, and took advantage of the imtimacy. But in healthy, normal families it is just plain old family love.

It is normal in some cultures for relatives to kiss each other on the lips. Uncles and aunties etc.. But you're right about this time during the corona epidemic. And influenza is also a concern.
