Has anyone been following this awful case in Sydney?, 6 years ago now but someone entered a home and murdered an entire family of 3 adults and 2 young boys with a hammer.
Then the brother in law was charged but after 3 attempts to try him... 2 aborted trials ,first judge got ill,then only surviving member of murdered family accused him of molesting her and now after 158 day trial jury couldn't decide so now it goes back for retrial next year.
Now he has bail ,I guess to be fair he cannot be locked up without any conviction ,he has already done 4+ years.
I was shocked he was not convicted as there seemed a lot of evidence Against him but I wonder how it will turnout in the retrial if it is even worth a retrial as one jury failed to convict will another be the same?
awful to think of someone getting away with something so horrible. .... but the whole case seems cursed somehow.
