It's not that we can't handle the truth.

It's that if we really knew the truth,  we'd be all over the shop!

if you read the same story but it was nth korea you would say, well thats just what they do.

but when you read its our democratic govt doing it, you gasp and say 'how can this be true'

right?

signing the 'official secrets act' should not deprive you of your basic human rights.

So it would have been military court and concerned an intelligence officer so information would have been sensitive. I can think of other countries that one may not be treated too well.

Doesn't sound like a military court - the article mentions the ACT Supreme Court

Wasn't a military court.
Wasn't ever meant to become public knowledge.
This Government is a criminal organisation

it was sensitive. From memory, without reading the link, Witness J was an ASIS operative, and he blew the whistle on the Australian Government spying on the East Timorese cabinet, so that Woodside Petroleum would know how their COMMERCIAL interests would be affected.

But because he worked for ASIS and he revealed information acquired in the course of his duties, he's a traitor.

Like his lawyer, who ASIS approved to represent him.

Oops, I might have the wrong case. Which shows there are at least two examples of how this country is becoming a police state.
