It makes me feel like throwing up. Please don't think all Americans condone this behavior.
It's abhorrent and disgusting.

We downunder folk dont go judging a whole people by the actions of a handful of the few...
I totally despise these types of hunting practices.
But I cant condone the hunting for food thing. I've fished and eaten the catch, eaten yabbies we'd caught, venison that by BIL hunted. Very recently as a matter of fact. I'd never really eaten venison and I really didn't know how I'd go with it, but oh the smell when it's cooking, it's amazing and the taste was lambish but less fat. At the same time I love deer and I hate the thought of killing such a beautiful creature for food, but I know it didn't suffer, it was a one shot kill, there was aparently 2 of them together and they were both one shot kills, so they didn't have to suffer. Not like the humble dairy cow which is forced to give birth every year and then after a few days have her baby ripped from her side so she can keep the milk flowing in the vats. Some heffers whine for days after, poor darls... and not to mention the way some slaughter houses carry out their killing...
So, I think a bit of self suffiency is good for us humans and taking into accout meats like Venison and roo are very low in fat and very healthy meats, when you've caught it yourself you know exactly where it's from, how it was prepared ect I mean lets face it we dont "need" meat to survive I know that, it should be considered more of a luxury that the way most of us percieve it. And I personally would hate to be the one that pulls the trigger so I'll leave that to the professionals and contemplate the vast varieties of herbs, and which ones may go well together in a roo sausage or venison burger 😉

wasn't there a south african newsreader who did something similar recently, she got a lot of flak for it as well - good, it's a disgusting "sport" and should be banned.

A little research doesn't hurt before you go condemning. People.
Many countries are using hunting to manage over population within reserves as over population is a far bigger risk to populations than controlled hunting, as the culls would be forced to happen regardless the income raised from these hunts helps to maintain the reserves and research into the animals concerned this how ever countries who are not managing hunting it these countries that need to be educated quickly and before you yell and scream about zoo' s taking these animals , not many zoos have the resources or expertise to take these animals , not to mention the fact that in trying to do good the international community has made trading in these animals extremely difficult even for zoos
yes a little resaerch would be great.
3 of the animals she is pictured with are listed as endangered, or threatened
