Bob, you need to get pay tv.  The History channel and Nat Geo have some really great docos about religion.  Not to mention sport.

why not just ignore the topic like most citizens. most dont know any of this and may be ok. i think not knowing anything might be a scripturally sound excuse.  or so i recall reading .

i was under a strong impression that those who had never been exposed or offered salvation (for example indigenous folks living in amazon rainforests which were as yet unknown) would be in fact in a state of grace. it makes no sense for a god to destroy someone who had never heard this particular gods name you see.

can tell you Lakeland the bible does not teach that. it is a little vague but I can tell you serveral things.

for me as long as I can remember looking at the stars I knew there was something more out there [as in a god]. bible says the heavens declare the Glory of God. I believe that that is what I was experiencing hence evolution made no sence to me but I had to wait till my 20's to find Him.

bible talks about our conscience [weather we are naughty or nice] so for those who have never heard the Gospel will be judged differently [maybe by their actions] to say those who have heard and chosen to say no.

bible also mentions by name in the new testament those who had never heard the gospel message but will be in heaven and why.

also God is righteous and just.

I remember watching tv [black & white] that from 1 knucklebone that was found somewhere proving evolution and them showing a "stone age family" can still see the picture in my mind today. remember the news guys spiel about the big forhead, curved spine, etc - the story before was about a murdered persons skeleton how the forensics people could not tell if it was male or female.

that is the science of evolution, I call it faith.

Are you seriously telling us that you base your rejection of evolution on one TV program that you watched 30 or more years, that no scientist worth his/her salt would give any credence to and that you very likely misinterpreted anyway.

No forensic scientist would EVER attempt to extrapolate from one knucklebone whether someone was male or female or what shape their spine or forehead was.

I seem to remember - I think it was the British Museum (so one would think scientist worth their salt) that they had a dinosaur assembled and on display in the museum for many years.
