As if we aren't all public enough in the world of computing and now ebay introduces Followers and Interests on our home page, without seeking permission.
Apparently they show items that we search. It's privacy invasion. We have a user identity and a password for "security" so why do they almost allow this form of invasion into our searches for anyone to see what we might want to search at one particular time? On public record ever after, it's almost akin to stalking.
They should cease this practice immediately.
A friend has asked my ebay identity, I didn't give it, and I have recently searched an item to buy that friend for birthday or xmas, if that was spotted due to ebay's putting up my Interests, there goes the surprise....ebay's spoiling ebay with its interfering and "continuous improvement" which doesn't improve anything the way they are going.

although they are visible (public) as default you can change that to make them private. over on the right hand side opposite the following heading you will see a settings link just click on that. then click on each one to make private, You can also make your followers private.

I have "Sellers you follow" & "Searches you follow"; the seller has nothing to adjust and the searches only have option for changing colour of the bar.
