As I see it, he will be living at Kirribilli House with his family and only use the Federal Police room when he needs to be in Canberra when parliament is in session.  At least he isn't ripping off the public by living in a 5 star hotel while the Lodge is being repaired.

But he is.

Mr Abbott currently stays at the five-star Hotel Realm.

The AFP building already has security in place, and security at a hotel would be almost impossible to apply for a year.

Yeah, but he can't avoid the pesky women if he stays there. He can leave them in Sydney and get some boys time now.
