Sounds like the repairer may have done a firmware update on your system while it was being repaired. Suggest you run a search on http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks to see if there's a region hack available to return it to region-free again.
Hi , there should be a tv display HTS control applet accessable via the remote > menu > settings > (?) , that I imagine, can enable configuration for nominated regional support
