I hope someone can help me.
I have an ACER Laptop and have used it for almost two years, but since last week I can not sign in to eBay. Every time I get My eBay page up, a message pops up to tell me "Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Underneath is a button that says "Close program"
When I click "Close program." it just keeps repeating the whole process. If I don't click on the button, the same thing happens over and over again. It is frustrating. I can sign in on my husbands desktop computer, but not from my laptop.
We are using the same server, and have rang them for help, as they have been very helpful to solve problems in the past.
I have done a complete virus scan. Disk cleaned and defragmented. All to no avail.
My husband even installed Firefox on the Laptop,(because he is using it,) but the same thing happened. So he removed Firefox from my Laptop again.
Bar from throwing my lappy through the window, any suggestions what else I can do or what possibly could be the problem, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Tara. I will get my husband to do what you suggested.
Sorry for the bigger fonts. I am vision impaired and need to increase fonts to read and write.

Well, I unplugged the Laptop from everything last night. Tonight we plugged it back in again, but unfortunately it did not help. The same thing is happening. I can go into my hotmail account, Bank account, other things like the weather and google, but as soon as I want to enter eBay the same error message appears and stops everything working.
I am getting so frustrated. 12 years on the Internet and nothing like that ever happened before.
Thanks for trying to help, Tara

hi erica
sorry that didnt help
hope you can get it figured out
it might be a case where you have to use the desk top for ebay only
and the laptop for everything else
its annoying as laptop easier to use anywhere

Thank you, Tara.
The desktop is my husbands computer and he does a lot of graphics work on it. Will have to snatch the few spare moments when he watches the news on TV or golf tournament. Makes it hard when I want to buy or sell anything.
Have a nice evening, Erica

I like your large font, I don't have to squint to read it ๐

Erica, have you tried using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome? I know this won't fix the problem, but it could be a way around it so you can still access ebay through your lap top... It will also help you find out if it's a problem with your laptop or a problem with Internet explorer
