Thread for Master-Jester,has NO log out option

Hi folks,

I'm Master-Jesta, or Hez. And eBay will not let me sign-out.

Exhibit 'A' :-

So Foxette-In-Socks tells me this is where the Guru's hang out. B-)

I've cleared-out my Cache's, Resent, Cookies, Rebooted, done the F5 and Ctrl+F5... No joy.

No new installs, no change of settings.

Computer had been up continueslly for 26days.

I was thinking 'proc call' or 'bad script', but on eBay UK and eBay USA all is perfect and normal. (go figure).

Any thoughts, opinions, are most welcome.

Many thanks.

Hez.

Yep!

FireFox, Opera, and IE, very old version of Mozilla.

Can see minor differences in the layout in each Browser. Text overlap, image location, etc. but no loss of functionality.

I have just discovered that, Here, in "Community", I have the "Log In" and "Log Out" on the page. But on checking, "My eBay" is unchanged.

Exhibit 'B'

MJ, as a last resort try this -

Go to My ebay summary page, hover over account and select site preferences.

Scroll down to general preferences and for other general pref., to the right select show.

Now untick both keep me signed in and apply.

Then close all browsers and start from scratch.

Hi folks,

Thanks for all the great support, offerings, assistance, and all. Its a most welcome surprise.

@ > k5. Goddag and Velkomst Kopenhagen, Dansk wienerbrød is vidunderligt. Yummm!

Sorry for for my ramblings and erratic comings and goings. Illness and my extremely poor Danish, are to blame.  🙂

So k5, I tried all that, toggled on/off from the 'preferences' page, and at the Sign-In page. But I dont always get a Sign-In page. Wiped the cookie also.

I cant actually log-in to the US or UK, have to follow a link like 'visit seller's store'. Then I only need to click a link to one of the seller's items - and Bingo, I get the Log-Out, Print, Preferences, as it should be.

Just tried the Google eBay au, clicked the first response, got the regular eBay.com.au page, so I clicked 'my ebay' - Bingo, straight into my account without having to Log-In. But there was no Log-in/Sign-in, no Register either.

If I didnt have a headache, I'd be smacking my head on the wall right now... hehehe..

But... I was picking thru source code of the sign-in page, and I found a little snip of code, replaced the first line of code in an icon with it, made it a book-mark. So I can log out not. But eBay may not like it cos I think I maybe running  server-side code from my side.

That's very clever. You could also try to log in from another computer that is not on the same network. That will isolate whether your computer is the problem, or the network is the problem.
