message from ebay customer support about item not complying with ebay policies any one got this ?

Received a message from ebay to my email today which says.

We had to remove this listing, and the item is no longer available. We do our best to make sure listings that may not comply with our policies don't appear on eBay. Because millions of items are listed every day, occasionally a noncompliant item could appear on our site.
Now the seller sent me some link to down load with the activation numbers and then said when its down loaded to burn it on an iso dvd,, I have no idea how to do that I thought it would be a genuine Win 7 ultimate software package with proper activion numbers and now I can`t contact him at all I don`t have an email address so wasted $60 ... he also said if the down load doesnt work to contact him as he will send me another lot of numbers as Microsoft change the numbers each day to stop piracy ,.. wow I have no idea what this is all about really ,. what should I do now.. just forget all this .. thanks for any answers...... It sounds like it was removed as it was illegal.

If you paid with paypal you should try opening a claim to get your money back as item not described/counterfeit; the fact it's been yanked by eBay should help you...I think if a listing has been ended by eBay on breach of policies, there should be something in the email from eBay about your being no longer obligated to pay? See if that's what they say.

If it was me, I wouldn't go through with the download, but keep all the emails, and start a claim.

So if there's nothing in eBay's email regarding your obligations, contact customer support and get them to confirm that since the listing has been removed, you're no longer the buyer of the item...if you know what I mean; and start a claim.
