EARLY - Grace sighed, then replied "I think it's a bit early for that, don't you?  We're just starting to get to know one another, and I don't think he's quite ready to have you two giving him the third degree!"

STAIN - Grace reached for a punnet of raspberries, intending to add some to a bowl of yoghurt, but the punnet slipped from her hands and two or three of the raspberries were squashed into the carpet by a delighted Bailey … and the raspberry-coloured stain elicited a cry of “Oh no!”

NOT - Grace wasn`t in a happy state so she decided to not go out today and walk Rufus & Bailey.

TEARFUL - She felt strained, tearful, tightly wound like a wind-up toy, and a sense of melancholy fell upon her – but this would never do; her dogs relied on her to be fed, given attention and exercise…

LUNCH - Just as she thought she couldn't cope with anything today, Edward called (he would never just text) and invited her to lunch at a local dog-friendly cafe, which improved her spirits amazingly, and made her realise that she already had quite strong feelings for him.

HAPPY - Grace was so happy that Edward called and invited her  and her doggies for lunch. Speaking later to Roxanne that night she expressed her feelings about Edward to her.

YUCK - As Grace was putting down the phone, she spotted a cockroach near the front window, and sprang up muttering “Yuck!”

KILL - As Grace was rushing to kill the cockroach, she kicked her toe on the table leg, and let fly with some words she rarely used.

LATER - After stubbing her toe Grace was thankful that it she hadn`t broken it. Later that day after cooling down she rang Edward and asked him to come over.
