Can I have separate buying and selling accounts linked to the one PayPal account?

I have been an ebay member for many years and opened a PayPal account with my original membership. Several years ago I sold a few items on that account but now I'd like to start selling more. I've been told it is wise to use a separate account for selling so I would be using this account. Can I link my existing PayPal account to both ebay accounts or do I need to open a new PayPal account and if so how do I do that if I want to use the same credit card or bank account?
