Highest bidder states they cannot buy the item - what do I do?

Highest bidder advises they cannot buy the item less than an hour after the auction finished. What do I do now. Does this make the auction null and void.

Cancel the transaction and offer the item to the next underbidder if there is one.

Otherwise relist after the cancellation is complete.

I think it should work from here: https://www.ebay.com.au/help/ip?topicId=4136&contextid=a06b5e43-2000-41d8-9f84-5b165c9e321c:1792f140... It says they could not find any items for me because I am not a seller, but you should be able to cancel the transaction.

Hi All. Thanks for input. Resolved by simply going to the next highest bidder. The common sense solution as it happens but I still needed to ensure I was doing things right.
