I got really sick of all the pop-up messages in eBay, so went to see if I could prevent some of these in the "preferences" part of my account, only to discover that I had supposedly allowed "third party authorization" for someone to act on my behalf, about two weeks ago....... OH NO I HAVEN'T!!! certainly not to my knowledge. I immediately revoked the authorization, as I didn't even recognize the name of the person (company) whatever. I just wished I had written it down first. I have not seen any untoward activity on my account. Has anyone else encountered this? I will get in touch with eBay about it.
