edit/update my email address

my old email address is not what i am using now. Because I have a new internet provider, my old internet provider automatically cancelled my old email address. I am trying to update it, so I go to Edit, to cancel the old one abd  register my new email,  But when i do that, ... it tells me that the email address already exist. so it doesn't want to accept my current updated email address. How do I resolve this?  thank you

You need to make another email addy for your eBay account.

If an email address at some point has been used for an eBay account then it cannot be used again.
