How can i cancel an unpaid order - from early bidding

Hi, I'm not entirely new on ebay but it was my first time trying to sell something. I tried selling an item through bidding. There was a buyer that wanted it before the bidding ends. Then the buyer has told me that they do not want the item anymore. The item is still listed under sold items but there was a "buyer has not paid" highlighted in red. Can someone please tell me how do I remove/cancel the item from the sold section?

Thanks.

Normally you open an unpaid item case and close it 4 days later so you get your fees back.

But that deadline is 32 days so that has passed.

Items in the sold list automatically disappear after 60 days

It's too late to open an "unpaid item dispute" now, you only have 32 days from the sale to do that, so I think you will have to bite the bullet and pay the fees for the sale. You could try phoning eBay (the best way is to get them to call you back) and see if they can help you.

Alternatively you could email the "buyer" and ask them if they are willing to cancel the transaction, but you may be too late for that even.

Edit. slow again today Kopes...............waves.

Suggest also that you do some reading on "Selling on Ebay".  You are only going to cost yourself money in fees if you dontt.  It is much easier to know what you are up against to start with than try and fix it later.  Good luck.

As the others have said, it's too late to open an unpaid dispute to get your fees back, but you could try cancelling it. On your My Selling page, go to the dropdown next to the sold item and see if there is an option to cancel. Chances are the buyer will ignore it, but you should be able to close the cancellation after 10 days to get your fees back.

In future, if someone hasn't paid after 4 days, open an unpaid item dispute. They then have another 4 days to pay. If they still don't pay, close the dispute and give them a black mark against their name. It also means you get any fees back.

If you then wish to remove the item from your sold section, tick the box to the left and then hit delete.
