I have purchased a cuckoo clock with minimalist chimer with pendulum teseJ. The instructions are very bad and poor and I am not able to set up the clock.
I have tried to contact the seller but no reply. Very difficult to get to speak to an eBay agent.
Very disappointed with the process.

I hope you receive your refund and return to eBay.
How can I make sure this address even exists?
You seem seem very apprehensive of using eBay so be sure to shop with Australian sellers in the future.
In saying that and I know I'll be the only one to say this, although the Chinese seller is the type that we all love to hate, 98.1%, always out of stock etc, I really don't think this is a seller problem.
The seller has positive feedback for the clock
Half the stuff I buy in the real shops has chinglish instructions and I often have to look at Youtube to find out how to set up something.

I'm going out on a limb with this one, in the sense of fair play and decency.
I had a quick response from the seller today , to a question I pretty much already knew what the answer would be.
The clock body comes fully assembled.
All that's required is to add the batteries, hook on the pendulum, insert the cuckoo and press a couple of buttons to set it up.
It took me 5 seconds to see the set up on youtube.
In the meantime the seller (8.2 k items sold) has had
1) A dispute opened... presumably the reason used was, as advised, it couldn't be assembled ??
2) Has almost been accused of giving a fake address
3) If the buyer is refunded without the need to return, the seller loses money
4) The buyer's been advised if that happens, "you get the money and keep the item"
This goes against all my principles.
What sort of message is that giving out to new buyers ?
That all Chinese sellers are bad ?
Yes, they sell cheap items.
Plastic cuckoo clocks that most kids would love.
Plastic cuckoo clocks that are clearly described in the listings as just that.
Looks easy enough to set up to me !

I hate poor instructions too, but when you buy direct from China, you have to be prepared for this to happen.
It isn't a fault with the clock as such, more that you haven't been able to work out how to set it up.
Contacting ebay won't be any help, they will probably just tell you to contact the seller.
Maybe contact the seller again. Simply ask how to assemble it.
Casey had a response from the seller so hopefully you will too.
Maybe also get a friend to have a look at it for you, someone who is a bit handy. They may be able to do it easily.
At this stage it is too early to open a 'not as described' claim because that implies the item is faulty and you won't know if that is the case till you get it working.
