What if a buyer changes their mind?

What happens if you send an item in perfect working condition (say something electrical or cds for example) and the buyer doesn't like it and claims that it's broken/not in working order and wants to return it? Are you obligated to? These things worry me about selling.

You are not "obligated to" to do anything.

Of course if you want your item back, don't want a selling defect or possible negative feedback then it would be prudent to accept the return.

The time to "worry" is before listing an item.

l wouldn't send a defective product. But if they simply change their mind and claim it's defective won't eBay side with them? And do l have to reimburse return postage?
