I have experienced difficulty with Australia Post not delivering a Registered Post parcel addressed to me from a regular overseas supplier. After 3 months and numerous conversations with various Australia Post representatives I have been told that they are not prepared to re-imburse the value of the undelivered goods, despite producing evidence that AP had actually received the item and had it in their control and they are relying on the person who alledgedly delivered the item - despite the
mandatory receipt signature not being given.
Following my supplying Australia Post with a copy of the tracking information that was given to me by the seller
AP admitted that they received the parcel at my local distribution centre.
As we know in Australia our postal service is amongst the most expensive in the world but they are a law unto themselves. My final conversation with them was offensive as I was being "patronised" by the person who contacted me - who does not know me from a bar of soap.
The missing goods and value of them is no longer important it is a matter of principle.
