Global Shipping Program/Pitney Bowes

So I just bought an item from the US unknowingly the seller has signed up with this service. And after reading all the comments, I honestly fee rowhted...

I did however provide him with my shipping address, which he then confirmed with me that is now the same as the shipping address ebay/paypal has provided him.

I requested him to sent directly to me through usps priority which is in his item description for international shipping.

When I received a "sent" update with a tracking number, it shows carrier is PBI... so it looks like he sent it via this global shipping program anyway...

so from the sounds of all the complaints... would I not be expecting my item?

a few things others have mentioned is the higher cost of shipping. Now I have already paid the seller the total amount which supposedly includes shipping.

*Will I now be up for any additional fees to collect this?

*Have any one actually had their items missing/damaged?

*If you have received it, how long did it actually take?

I know that it probably isnt the fault of the seller himself, but if this item goes missing and I open a paypal claim... it is also unfair for the seller as they would have done their part right... so would ebay pay for this?
