How much would be fair for postage from China? I bid on numerous items from the same seller, and now am faced with a postage rate of $70.00.

I previously purchased from the same seller and 6 items had a post rate of $8.97, now they want $65 for 15 items of similar weight, ribbon. I understand that postage costs but, come on I could send a parcel to Antarctica and it would not cost as much! Sigh.

If the price was on each listing, then you only have to pay the 15 lots of postage listed, unless the seller was offering a discount for multiple purchases.
If there was no postage listed, then you have to pay whatever the sellers wants to charge, if you didnt get a firm quote before bidding.
