Is there a cheap way to send large letter items overseas with proof of postage?

Hi I do not offer overseas postage on most of my items anymore but I am considering it again for the 45 rpm records that I sell. But as these items can be posted as a large letter the cost can be kept down BUT sending a large letter item I do not have proof of postage. The item is not a document so can't be sent reg post international letter rate.

The only rate I can find is to send Registered post international as a small parcel under 500 grams and that makes postage so much more expensive. eg. large letter $7.05 compared to $23.00 for a small parcel.

Just wondering how other record sellers or sellers who send similar items overseas deal with the problem.

I would really appreicate some advice.
