Cancel a Packaging Label

I need to cancel a packaging label per the following instructions (pasted below) but I cant see any labels to cancel when I go to 'manage postage labels'.  Help Please!

How to cancel a postage label

If you haven't used a postage label, you can cancel it within 5 days of creating and printing the label. If your cancellation request is approved, you'll receive a credit for postage and related charges within 25 days. The credit will then be shown in your seller account activity, and on your next monthly invoice.

To cancel an eBay postage label:

  1. Go to Manage postage labels.
  2. Find the item you'd like to cancel the postage label for, then from the Actions column, select More actions, and then select Cancel postage label.
  3. Choose your reason for cancelling the label. If you want to, you can add a message for the buyer.
  4. Select Cancel postage label.

That's great, but firstly how does a seller know if eBay has *actually* contacted the postage service for a refund? There is no visible record of it. Secondly, how does a seller know if or when the label is refunded? There is no notification from eBay. I suspect eBay simply doesn't bother, as it does not affect them if a buyer is refunded or not, it's a purchase between the seller and the postage service. HOWEVER it goes against Australian consumer law to suggest that a refund is available when it appears that at least a lot of the time it isn't.
