I refuse to buy items from any seller that uses fastway couriers in australia because the franchisee who is responsible for the area I live in refuses to deliver the purchased items to the address but instead leaves a note in the mailbox to say that they missed you when I have been at home all day. The item is then sent to the depot. The depot at Beverley is a 70km round trip from my place. I have been in phone contact with fastway couriers at beverly in Adelaide on many occasions about this problem but they do not appear to be able to/interested to change the persons behaviour.

I guess all you can do is to ask a seller to confirm they send via AP only before making a purchase.
