Seller trying to increase postage fee.

I bid on an item located in the UK. I am in Australia. The listing didn't exclude postage to Australia, and defined what the postage fee to here would be. The seller is now claiming the item is too heavy to post, and he wants another GBP100 to complete the purchase. What recourse do I have?

There is no way on earth that the seller could post disc brakes for GBP14.95 to Australia.  It costs that much for one china dinner plate, properly packed.

Have you ever bought from the UK before?   That price sounds more like a local delivery price...you should have checked before buying.
