Sending item - no tracking and buyer protection

Hi, I sent an item today via sea mail as the buyer chose and paid for sea mail (not air mail). Sea mail does not come with tracking. If the buyer says they did not receive the item is the receipt of postage with the article number and the photo of the addressed item sufficient or is this an automatic refund? I am really worried I will lose out if the buyer exploits the ebay buyer protection system.
